2018 Notes from Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine:
After missing out on the playoffs for three straight years, expectations are again high. Realignment did the Wildcats a favor -- Elgin went 3-1 against new district rivals in 2017. For the Wildcats to maintain that sucess ATH Ty McFarlin (52 Tackles) will need to expand his presence beyond defense. RB Jerome Wreh will anchor the offense while the trio of ATH Daniel Gonzales, QB's Peter McFarlin and Jacob Harkins sort out the signal calling. DE Kendall Johnson returns from an injury to provide both speed andstrength from the edge.
