This week we play Cedar Creek. East View, Cedar Creek, & Bastrop are currently in a 3 way tie for the last two playoff spots in District 13-5A DII. The winner of this game will take a big step towards making the playoffs. The Patriots lost a heart breaking game on the last play last year, that gave Ceder Creek its only win for the 2017 season.

2018 Notes from Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine:
The large group of returning starters has Coach Jon Edwards hoping his team takes a step forward. The Eagles won just one game in each of the last two seasons, but the bulk of the returnees gained valuable experiance on defense. With the likes of DL Alfred Collins (6'4", 240 lbs), DL Jacob Turner (6'2", 225 lbs) and LB Cade Edwards (6'0", 200 lbs) -- all-District selections last year -- the Eagles should improve from allowing 39 points per game in 2017. QB Hunter Hughston (5'10", 180 lbs) will look to lead an improved offense, relying on WR's Alex MArtinez, Payne Allen and Javon Livingston with protection provided by a group that includes OL's Brian George and Chris Julson.
